Dolores Mission School offers a phenomenal art room and dedicated teacher. Each class, Transitional Kindergarten through eighth, visits the art room once a week. Scholars learn the standards and fundamentals of art while listening to classical or jazz music during instruction. From the classics, to street art and the importance of them all, art has transformed learning at Dolores Mission School and continues to be a favorite with many students. Each grade also visits an art museum each year; any student who attends Dolores Mission School from Kindergarten through eighth grade will have visited each major art museum in Southern California. Dolores Mission is proud to have partnered with the LMU HBL Art Therapy Clinic for the past 17 years. This collaboration has provided students with invaluable opportunities to explore creative outlets as powerful tools for managing stress and expressing their emotions.
